• Profile·Uni·ID (profile.uniid.in) – Digital profile sharing platform
• Bio·Uni·ID (bio.uniid.in) – Biodata image generation service

By using any Uni·ID service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When a profile is created through a verified consultant, we may collect:

• Full name and date of birth
• Contact information (phone number, email address)
• Physical attributes (height, weight, complexion)
• Educational and professional details
• Family information (parents' names, siblings, family background)
• Religious and community information (caste, sub-caste, gothram)
• Horoscope details and birth chart information
• Photographs
• Partner preferences

Consultant Information

For marriage consultants using our platform:

• Name and contact details
• Business information
• Login credentials

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Create and manage matrimony profiles (Profile·Uni·ID)
• Generate beautiful biodata images from your profile data (Bio·Uni·ID)
• Facilitate matchmaking between families through verified consultants
• Enable secure profile sharing via private links
• Process payments for image generation services (₹49 for 7-day access)
• Communicate with families and consultants about potential matches
• Improve our platform and services
• Ensure platform security and prevent fraud

Important: Profile·Uni·ID and Bio·Uni·ID use the same profile data. When you create a profile on one platform, you can access it on both services.

4. Profile Privacy & Sharing

Unlike traditional matrimony websites, Uni·ID profiles are:

• Not indexed by search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)
• Not browsable on any public directory
• Only accessible via private, secure links shared by your consultant or family
• Family-controlled – you decide who receives your profile link

Bio·Uni·ID Image Sharing

When you generate biodata images through Bio·Uni·ID:

• Images are generated from your Profile·Uni·ID data
• Your profile link (profile.uniid.in/...) is embedded in each image
• Downloaded images can be shared via WhatsApp, print, or any medium
• Images remain on your device – we don't store generated images on our servers
• You control distribution of images after download

Profile links may be shared by consultants via WhatsApp or other messaging platforms only with your explicit consent and for matchmaking purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
• Secure cloud infrastructure with encrypted database storage
• Access controls limiting who can view profile data
• Regular security audits and updates

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your profile information for as long as your profile is active on our platform. You may request to:

• Pause your profile – temporarily hide it from sharing
• Close your profile – mark it as inactive when you find a match
• Delete your profile – permanently remove all your data

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Vercel – Website hosting and deployment
• Vercel Blob – Secure image storage
• Prisma – Database management
• Razorpay – Payment processing (Bio·Uni·ID image generation and consultant subscription payments)

These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information. Payment information (card details, UPI) is processed directly by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your profile and data
• Withdraw consent for profile sharing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

10. Children's Privacy

Uni·ID services (Profile·Uni·ID and Bio·Uni·ID) are intended for adults of marriageable age (18 years and above for women, 21 years and above for men, as per Indian law). We do not knowingly collect information from individuals below these ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
